The Tite-Mark Long has a 9" rod, but is otherwise exactly the same as the Tite-Mark. You will prefer the Tite-Mark Long if you are squaring up boards, laying out deep joinery, or using the mortising blades on heavier pieces, especially if you are laying out double and/or triple mortise and tenons. If you favor mortise and tenon projects, then you may want to consider the Tite-Mark Deluxe or the Tite-Mark Long Deluxe. The Deluxe models include an assortment of mortise blades along with other options.
