The Scraper File-Burnisher is an 8 inch long by 1.25 inch wide file on one side and a burnisher on the other side and both edges. The file is a very fine 70 teeth-per-inch file which is ideal for the final filing for your scrapers, including our Kerf-Starters. After the final filing just flip it over and use the burnisher to add the requisite burr to your scraper. The flat face of the burnisher is perfect for adding the hook-burr to the Kerf-Starter and for a last smoothing pass for your card scrapers. We have also found the file to be an excellent tool for polishing the end grain for through-joinery such as through-dovetails and finger-joints.
