This blade is a variable-pitch blade (18 TPI to 14 TPI to 18 TPI). It is excellent for sawing 1/4" to 3/4" thick in most hardwoods and is most often used for cutting box (finger) and dovetail joints. Your dull blades may be rotated with us for sharpening ($15 sharpening fee). The screws on the back of the saw secure the blade. You may also want to consider the other two blades that fit our Joinery Saw.
